I adapt classical approaches to Yoga and Chinese Medicine for your modern life to support you to have health and energy to do more of what you love.

What’s special about my approach

You deserve personalized and customized care. Because healthcare is personal and there is no one-size-fits-all.

The one-on-one work I do is based in Classical Chinese Medicine, which takes a holistic view of your health and focuses on a meridian approach to Acupuncture rather than a point specific approach. In other words, I treat you and use modalities to inspire your inherent healing potential. This form of medicine goes beyond treating your symptoms or your illness.

Because you are unique. And your healthcare should be, too.

Classical Chinese Medicine is the foundation of the work I do at A Center for Natural Healing, a health and wellness clinic in Santa Clara, California, where I’m Co-Director along with my husband, Salvador Cefalu, M.S., L.Ac.

I couple this care with my love of Yoga, which helped me recover from extreme stress during my first year in college and has been the most intimate and important practice to help me through the ebbs and flows of life. I’ve now been teaching for over 17 years.

My multicultural passion began as a young refugee from Iran and has inspired me to be a lifelong student of various subjects, cultures, languages, and medical modalities. I’m fluent in three languages (English, Farsi, German), I’m a certified yoga instructor, and I have a B.A. in Political Economy from UC Berkeley, an M.S. in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University, and a Ph.D. in Classical Chinese Medicine through my longtime teacher and 88th generation Daoist Master, Dr. Jeffrey Yuen.

But what I care about most is developing ways to help you find your path to healing so you can live a truly fulfilled life.
