Answers to some important questions

I feel stuck in my life and am unsure about my purpose or what to do next. How can you help?

The best way for me to help you get ‘unstuck’ is to commit to one-on-one work together as a coach so you can get clarity about exactly what you want so I can show you how to have the life you desire.

Start by scheduling The Shift, an empowering one-time session from the comfort of your home or office, that’ll bring you clarity — fast. After that, if you feel you want more ongoing support, you can explore working with me as a coach. My one-of-a-kind method interweaves ancient wisdom practices rooted in Classical Chinese Medicine, Yoga & Daoism with modern coaching tools to help you get clear about your life purpose.

Is Acupuncture painful?

No. In our Santa Clara clinic, A Center for Natural Healing, we practice both Classical Acupuncture and Traditional Japanese Meridian Therapy, both of which are extremely gentle and very relaxing.

If you are hesitant to receive treatment with needles, you can try Japanese Meridian Therapy which is performed without needle insertion and is an extremely gentle treatment that is especially good for children, elderly patients and anyone with needle phobia. Learn more about this style here.

Absolutely! In its original form, Acupuncture is preventive medicine and can be used to rebalance the internal body to prevent disorders from manifesting. And besides its extraordinary health benefits, Acupuncture provides a calm, relaxing experience that helps free the body and calm the mind.

Why is the health of my body so important?

Healthy aging has to do primarily with the wellness of our bodies.

Do you notice how things feel like they ‘flare up’ when you’re under stress? These flare ups can be emotional or physical.

Inflammatory responses are the primary cause of disease that occur when emotions get lodged into the physical body causing pain, discomfort and disease. This often happens because the mind is unsettled, or if you carry grief, loss and anger from the past without properly dealing with or processing those feelings.

You’re probably holding something you haven’t processed in your body, whether the source of your trauma is purely physical, emotional, or a combination of the two. That's why it's crucial to release the tissues where we hold these unprocessed thoughts and emotions.

Acupuncture meridians in the body course through these tissues. By releasing these areas and freeing the body physically, we’re able to settle the mind, triggering the body’s natural healing process and thus preventing and even overcoming illness.

Can I practice Yoga even if I'm injured?

Practiced mindfully and with proper alignment, Yoga can benefit all levels, ages and body types, and can be modified for injuries. Always consult with your doctor before starting any new exercise practice or regimen.

The greatest benefit of Yoga comes from coordinating movement with breath awareness. Even if you physically can’t do a lot of movement, you can still benefit from breathing deeply to get the meditative, contemplative benefits of this practice and become more present in your body.

You can do some of my simple practices right from the comfort of your home here.

Do I have to combine Classical Chinese Medicine and Yoga to experience the benefits in my body and mind?

No. These practices are each individual traditions that have profound benefits. My integration of the two comes from my personal experience in how they help to harmonize the body and mind in a seamless and lasting way.

Each of these wisdom traditions contain extraordinary insights that can be applied to your modern lifestyle.

Classical Chinese Medicine and Yoga are profound both on their own and when combined to create an integrative experience to improve your health and life.
